Introduction
The University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) is currently recruiting for a Data Analyst ( Management support) for a fixed term of 6 months at the Howard College Campus.
Job description

The successful candidate will be expected to provide support in the planning and decision-making processes of the CHS by mining, extracting, analysing and reporting management information.  Undertaking statistical analysis of data and preparing formal reports for College Leadership and Management.  Undertaking and Supporting College Research in collaboration with other Researchers in UKZN; Supporting the College planning & monitoring processes with relevant data reports; Advise on Conceptualising and implementing appropriate systems in support of the functions of the Division.

Minimum requirements

  • Matric
  • Plus Relevant Four-Year Bachelors Degree /Honors/Postgraduate (NQF 8) (maths, stats, information systems or other relevant majors).
  • Driver’s License
  • At least 4 years’ experience in the handling of Management Information, Institutional Planning and Institutional Research, in a busy and pressurised environment in a large organisation.
Additional Skills:  

Proven experience in business analysis and demonstrable knowledge of SQL and databases as well as:  Customer relationship skills; Experience in providing and analysing management information; Communication skills (verbal and written); Being Analytical and Logical; knowledge of Analytical and Statistical Software; knowledge of Business analysis/processes.
