Introduction
ASENZE PROJECT Asenze is a Research Project based at the Centre for Rural Health within the School of Nursing and Public Health at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. This study is conducted in collaboration with the University of Columbia and is funded by the National Institutes of Mental Health (NIMH). The Asenze study is in its 5th wave (a 3-year grant) with a current focus on the transition of the adolescent cohort into young adulthood. The study aims to investigate the ongoing impact of changes in the social determinants of health (SDOH) on the mental health of the adolescent/young adult cohort and their primary caregivers. The project is looking to appoint a researcher to work with the study team to analyse data, publish research outputs, and support the implementation of the primary grant and sub-studies as required.
Job description

 Minimum Requirements:

·       A Masters degree, with a background in Neuroscience/ Research Psychology/Epidemiology or similar.

·     Relevant research experience of at least 5 years.

·     Research experience in Neuropsychology in South Africa.

·     Experience in data analysis using STATA/SPSS.

·     Experience working with longitudinal data.

·     Experience in the validation of research measures

·     Publication history
