Job description
The intern will engage, under supervision, in individual and group psychosocial interventions that endorse and support the holistic development and well-being of students registered in the College of Agriculture, Engineering and Science; through the provision and facilitation of psychotherapy; career, academic and psychosocial counselling; crisis support and intervention, and the development and facilitation of life-skills workshops and webinars. S/he will also be expected to participate fully in the Intern Training Programme.
Minimum requirements
- Registration with the HPCSA as a Master’s student in a Counselling or Educational psychology program (qualification must be part of a professional programme in the discipline of Psychology and not the discipline of Education)
- Evidence of successful completion of M1 examinations by the beginning of the internship year 2026
- Experience in the direct provision of psychological services in assessment/diagnosis and intervention/treatment
- Proficiency in isiZulu will be an advantage

This internship will be effective from the dates of 01 January 2026 to 31 December 2026.
