This position is in the specialist area of Transport Phenomena, covering fundamental and applied concepts in fluid flow, heat and mass transfer. The incumbent will be required to teach undergraduate courses, develop independent research programmes, supervise research and undertake administrative duties.
The incumbent will report to the Academic Leader Discipline: Chemical Engineering.
Minimum requirements
All applicants must have a BSc (Eng) degree in Chemical Engineering. In addition, the following applies:
- A PhD in an appropriate area
- Evidence of appropriate teaching experience and curriculum development experience at the tertiary level, related to the area of specialization.
- Evidence of current and sustained publication of independent research in quality scientific journals, appropriate for the level, and related to the area of specialization.
- A sustained track record of successful supervision of postgraduate students at Masters and PhD level, appropriate for the level.
- Evidence of sustained and successful attraction of external research grants.
- Evidence of national and/or international recognition in the area of specialization within the discipline.
Candidates with Professional Registration with ECSA will be considered favourably.
