Job description

The successful incumbent will function as a Human Resources generalist, providing professional advice and consultation on a wide range of HR methods, policies, and programmes. Key responsibilities include consulting with Divisions and providing best-practice guidance in areas such as recruitment and selection, training and development, remuneration and benefits, change management, transformation and employment equity, organisational development, talent and performance management, employee relations, disciplinary processes, employee wellness, and general HR administration.

The role further entails the delivery of comprehensive human resources and equity programmes, as well as providing functional leadership, ensuring effective HR processes, and demonstrating sound self-management within the assigned business unit.

Minimum requirements

  • Matric and a relevant 3-year degree; i.e. Human Resources Management or Industrial Psychology
  • Five (5) years’ generalist human resources’ experience in a unionized environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of Human Resources theories and best practices.
