The successful individual will be responsible for the overall management of the UKZN Clinical Trials Pharmacy. 

Knowledge and Skills Required for the Post:

  • Experience in a hospital or local authority setting in dispensing and aseptic preparation of pharmaceutical agents
  •  Experience in a quality assurance role
  • Ability to provide medication adherence counselling
  • Fluency in isiZulu is an advantage
  • Computer literate and experience in working with MS Office packages.

 Personal Qualities and Competencies:

  •  Attention to detail, with strong analytical ability
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, without direct supervision and fit in well within a multi- disciplinary team
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple daily priorities in a busy research facility

 

Minimum requirements

  • Matric/Grade 12
  • B. Pharm
  • Current registration as a Pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council
  • 4 years clinical trial experience; GCP and Human Subjects Protections certification
