The successful individual will be responsible for the overall management of the UKZN Clinical Trials Pharmacy.
Knowledge and Skills Required for the Post:
- Experience in a hospital or local authority setting in dispensing and aseptic preparation of pharmaceutical agents
- Experience in a quality assurance role
- Ability to provide medication adherence counselling
- Fluency in isiZulu is an advantage
- Computer literate and experience in working with MS Office packages.
Personal Qualities and Competencies:
- Attention to detail, with strong analytical ability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, without direct supervision and fit in well within a multi- disciplinary team
- Ability to organize and manage multiple daily priorities in a busy research facility
Minimum requirements
- Matric/Grade 12
- B. Pharm
- Current registration as a Pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council
- 4 years clinical trial experience; GCP and Human Subjects Protections certification
