- The successful candidate will be expected to teach and supervise students in African languages at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- The candidate will also be expected to develop strategies to promote Kiswahili within the university community and in the province.
- The incumbent will report to Academic Leader: African Languages, Linguistics and Development Modules Cluster.
Minimum requirements
- A PhD degree in Kiswahili OR Master’s degree in Kiswahili with evidence of submission of PhD for examination.
- Experience in teaching in a relevant field at tertiary institution.
- Current research activity as evidenced by a publication in a peer-reviewed journal, book chapter and/or conference proceedings.
