Job description
- The College Office is seeking to appoint an individual for the position of a Principal Accounting Officer, which plays a critical role in managing the daily operations of the finance section and ensuring that it provides financial accounting and administration of University funded research grants (internal grants) as well as grants and contracts (external grants) from various sources of grant funding with the following advantages:
- Experience in preparing donor financial statements, budgets and coordination of audit reports. Good understanding of current computer application software as well as accounting concepts and principles. Computer literacy with knowledge of Windows and MS Office applications (Word and Excel) and supervisory experience.
Minimum requirements
- Grade 12 and
- B.Compt / B.Com / B.Acc / B.Tech degree (with Accounting major)
- A minimum of three years’ (3) post-qualifying experience in an accounting environment of which 2 years should be in a senior position
