- Deputise for the ED:HR in the ED’s absence or on specific HR work or projects;
- Provide direction and leadership on end-to-end oversight to the College or Professional Services HR teams;
- Ensure that all HR programs, procedures, approaches is adopted and advice provided to the University;
- Leadership and staff of College/Professional Serv. HR teams remain aligned and further the achievement of university strategic objectives and values;
- Collaborate, guide, and champion the development of fit for purpose HR strategies, policies, and approaches, to attract, develop, and retain talent in the University;
- Strategic partner to the University leadership to ensure translation of business objectives to human resource strategies.
Minimum requirements
- Relevant Master’s degree (NQF 9) i.e. Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology
- Ten (10) years relevant work experience in Human Resources of which (5) five years must be at a senior management level
- Exposure to and in-depth knowledge and experience with:
- relevant legislation and regulatory and reporting requirements; and
- strategic and operational management in the key functions
