Job description

  • The purpose of Assistant Administrative Officer is to provide Administrative, Secretarial, HR Requester duties in the Office of the RMS Campus Manager

Minimum requirements

  • Grade 12
  • One-year relevant post school qualifications
  • Two year’s secretarial and administrative experience within the University
  • Experience with the finance and HR i-Enabler as a Requester
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint)

The Incumbent must:

  • Be able to work well under pressure
  • Have a high level of personal integrity and ability to deal with sensitive issues with delicacy and diplomacy while maintaining complete discretion and confidentiality
  • Have good interpersonal and client service skills to enable successful liaison and interaction with all University stakeholders
  • Participation in a Skills test prior to interviewing may be required of short-listed candidates
