Job description
The incumbent will be responsible for the overall management of the UKZN Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) and more specifically coordinating all clinical trials conducted at the CTU.
Knowledge and Skills required for the Post:
· Experience in regulatory submissions, quality control systems and processes
· Experience in dealing with external monitors
· Thorough understanding of SA Good Clinical Practices
· Dashboard development or prior experience in interpreting study related metrics an advantage
- Previous experience as an operational team leader, project management or similar role an advantage
Personal Qualities and Competencies:
· Leadership ability
· Ability to work in a high pressure / fast paced environment
· Integrity
· Analytical ability with good decision-making skills
· Planning and strong organizational skills
· High attention to detail
· Excellent Communication skills (verbal and written)
· Effective communication with external stakeholders (implied in above)
· Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Minimum requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric/Grade 12
· Honour’s Degree in a Health-related field
· 4 years clinical trials experience
