The School of Education is well established with a strong research profile and has a large number of undergraduate and postgraduate students. The incumbent will teach and supervise students in Mathematics Education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. S/he will also be engaged with teaching practice, curriculum development, delivery as well as conducting research in Mathematics Education. This position requires an academic who is willing to undertake further studies and research in order to contribute to Mathematics Education’s broader mission of national provision and community engagement.
The incumbent will report to the Academic Leader : Mathematics and Computer Science Education.
Minimum requirements
- A PhD degree in Mathematics Education or related discipline OR Master’s degree in Mathematics Education or related discipline, with evidence of submission of PhD for examination
- Experience in teaching in a relevant field at tertiary institution
- Current research activity as evidenced by a publication in a peer-reviewed journal, book chapter and/or conference proceedings
