Job description

UKZN Press (The Press) is a publishing institution within the University of KwaZulu-Natal, situated on the Pietermaritzburg campus. The Press is a quality publisher of scholarship and general expertise books for both academic and general readers. Our range includes social, political, economic, and military history, gender, natural sciences, African literature and selected literary works.

The successful candidate must have proven record in stock control, order fulfilment and overall warehouse operations, preferably within the book publishing sector. The incumbent must be highly organised, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Minimum requirements

  • A relevant qualification in Logistics / Supply Chain Management or a related field
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet and word-processing applications.
  • At least two (2) years’ experience of working in a warehouse environment within the book publishing industry.
Advantanges
  • Experience in a warehouse and distribution environment
