Job description
The School of Education is well established with a strong research profile and has a large number of undergraduate and postgraduate students. The incumbent will co-ordinate and lecture modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Sport Science, Life Orientation Education, including Physical Education. She/he will also be engaged with curriculum development, delivery and teaching practice. The incumbent will engage in research and supervision in Sport Science, Life Orientation Education, including Physical Education.
The incumbent will report to Academic Leader : Social Science Education.
Minimum requirements
- A PhD degree in Sport Science Education or related discipline OR Master’s degree in Sport Science Education or related discipline, with evidence of submission of PhD for examination
- Experience in teaching in a relevant field at tertiary institution
- Current research activity as evidenced by a publication in a peer-reviewed journal, book chapter and/or conference proceedings
