Introduction
The University of KwaZulu Natal Registrar Division invites you to apply for the Safety Officer position on a six (6) months Fixed Term Contract in the Pietermaritzburg Campus. Reference Number: OHS O2/2024
Job description

The incumbents will be required to, together with the SHE manager they report to, ensure that all University of KwaZulu-Natal property, assets and occupants are adequately protected against physical risks such as fire, explosion, accidents, etc by planning and implementing risk avoidance and reduction programmes and training staff and students in risk awareness and combating of risk.

Minimum requirements

  • Matric
  • SAMTRAC Training Certificate
  • Valid First Aid and Firefighting certificates
  • A minimum of three years (3) experience as a Safety Officer
  • Valid Code 8 Driver’s licence, with at least three year’s driving experience
