Job description
- The incumbent will be required to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in anthropology.
- In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to be actively engaged in research and supervise student research projects.
- A strong background in ethnographic methodologies will be essential to support both teaching and research in the discipline. She/he will also be expected to contribute to academic administration, leadership and mentoring; and community engagement.
The incumbent will report to the Academic Leader: Anthropology
Minimum requirements
- PhD degree in Anthropology or a related field.
- Three (3) years working experience in either Teaching, Lecturing, Research or Industry (in the relevant field or discipline).
- Evidence of current and sustained research publication record in quality scientific journals, appropriate for the level
- A track record of successful supervision of postgraduate students at Masters and/or PhD level appropriate for the level
- Demonstrated ability to apply for research grants, either as the Principal Investigator or as a member of a team
