The Graduate School of Business and Leadership (GSB&L) seeks to appoint a suitably qualified candidate to the position of Senior Administrative Officer: Student Academic Administration. The incumbent is responsible for providing professional, efficient, and accurate academic administration support for programmes (postgraduate, professional, and/or short courses) administered within the Graduate School of Business & Leadership (GSB&L). The role ensures the integrity of student records, compliance with University rules and external regulations, and high-quality service to students, faculty, and external stakeholders. The SAO manages end-to-end processes across the student lifecycle, supports examinations and graduation activities, and contributes to quality assurance and reporting requirements.
Minimum requirements
- Relevant three-year degree/diploma (minimum NQF Level 7).
- A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in higher education student academic administration, at least 2 of which at a postgraduate or professional school level.
- Demonstrated experience managing both degree programmes and non-traditional offerings (executive education/ short courses).
- In-depth understanding of postgraduate student administration and university governance processes.
- Strong IT literacy: University student systems (e.g., ITS/SMS or equivalent), and learning management platforms (e.g., CRM/LMS or equivalent), MS Office Suite.
