The Graduate School of Business and Leadership (GSB&L) seeks to appoint a suitably qualified candidate to the position of Business Development / Sales Consultant. The incumbent is responsible for driving revenue growth for the Graduate School of Business and Leadership’s (GSB&L) Executive Education and Short Course portfolio by proactively identifying, developing, and converting client opportunities. The role builds a strong pipeline across industries and sectors, positioning the GSB&L as a trusted partner for customized and open-enrollment learning solutions. The consultant provides deep market insights, cultivates corporate relationships, and collaborates with internal stakeholders to craft compelling value propositions. The role ensures a seamless handover to programme operations and contributes to GSB&L’s reputation for quality, responsiveness, and impact.
Minimum requirements
- A diploma/degree (NQF 7) in a relevant field such as Sales and Marketing
- 5 years of previous experience in a Higher Education environment
- Sales and marketing experience in a Higher Education environment
- Project Management experience in a Higher Education environment
- Knowledge of higher education programme costing, pricing strategies, and funding mechanisms (SETA, Skills Levies, B-BBEE) to support sales and proposal development.
