Job description
- The School of Medicine wishes to appoint an academic who will contribute actively to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and learning, research and community engagement. Candidates will be required to do administration.
Minimum requirements
- All applicants must have an undergraduate degree in Microbiology /Medical Microbiology
- A doctoral degree in Medical Microbiology or Virology
- At least 5 years relevant experience post PhD
- Evidence of acquiring research funds and internationalisation
- Evidence of administrative contributions to the Discipline/Faculty
- Evidence of innovation and involvement in academic development
- A proven track record in postgraduate supervision
- A proven track record in the research of infectious diseases, preferably in neglected tropical diseases
- Teaching, Administration and Research requirements, as applicable, in the University criteria guidelines and job profile
- Computer literacy
- Valid driver' s license
