The School of Education is well established with a strong research profile and has a large number of undergraduate and postgraduate students. The incumbent will teach and supervise students in Technology Education and Natural Sciences Education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. S/he will also be engaged with teaching practice, curriculum development, and delivery as well as research in Technology Education and/or Science Education. This position requires an academic who is willing to undertake further studies and research to contribute to the Science and Technology Education Cluster’s broader mission of Science and Technology Education provision and community engagement.
The incumbent will report to the Academic Leader : Science and Technology Education.
Minimum requirements
- A PhD degree in Technology Education and Natural Sciences Education or related discipline OR Master’s degree in Technology Education and Natural Sciences Education or related discipline, with evidence of submission of PhD for examination
- Experience in teaching in a relevant field at tertiary institution
- Current research activity as evidenced by a publication in a peer-reviewed journal, book chapter and/or conference proceedings
