Introduction
The Legal Services Section is within the Registrar Division, and provides a service to the whole University, for both the Professional and Academic Sectors.
The Legal Advisor will be required to provide professional legal services to the university community. The incumbent will report to the Director of Legal Services.
Job description
- The key responsibilities for this job include review, drafting, and vetting of contracts, managing of disputes, providing general legal advice/ opinions on general legal queries, including intellectual property law
Minimum requirements
An admitted attorney or advocate (must hold an LLB degree)
5 years post-admission practical legal experience with sound and wide knowledge of South African Law, including Intellectual Property law.
