Introduction
To support both teaching and clinical service delivery. To provide clinical service to support the development of Paediatric Specialists and sub-specialist training on the UKZN Decentralized Clinical Training Platform (DCTP). To provide clinical management (training and assessments in all aspects of clinical skills) as well as to contribute to the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate students. They will be expected to rotate (work) in a multidisciplinary team at the eThekwini, Grey’s/Pietermaritzburg Hospital Complex, and Queen Nandi Regional Hospitals.
Job description

  • Support teaching & Clinical service delivery;

Minimum requirements

•    MBChB and FCPaeds/MMED(Paeds) or equivalent;
•    Current registration as a Specialist Paediatrician with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA); or
      completed FCPaeds examinations with registration pending;
•    Computer literacy;
•    Valid Driver’s license.
 
Remuneration will be dependent on the current Department of Health and University of KwaZulu-Natal sessional rates. This is an externally funded sessional post.
