Introduction
The School of Health Sciences wishes to appoint Academics who will contribute actively to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, learning, research and community engagement. Successful candidate(s) will be required to perform some administrative work, such as, but not limited to, acting as module(s) coordinator
Job description
Minimum Requirements:
· Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council as Pharmacist
· A relevant Master’s degree in Pharmacy / Pharmacology or a related Pharmacy discipline for Lecturer level and pursuing doctoral studies in basic/molecular or clinical
pharmacology for Lecturer level (1 post maximum for a candidate with Masters only)
· A relevant PhD degree in basic/molecular or clinical Pharmacology or related Pharmacy discipline as an Advantage for Lecturer / Requirement for Senior Lecturer level
· Demonstrated experience in facilitating learning at undergraduate level
· Demonstrated competence and 2-year experience in facilitating learning and assessments at the level(s) required by the South African Pharmacy Council for the B.Pharm
curriculum as an Advantage for Lecturer / Requirement for Senior Lecturer level
· Demonstrated competence in postgraduate supervision and a track record of publications as an Advantage for Lecturer level / Requirement for Senior Lecturer level
Computer literacy in Microsoft office packages (especially Excel and Power point)
Valid code 08 driver’s license
· Teaching, Research and Administration as applicable in the University criteria guidelines and job profile.
