Introduction
The University of Kwa-Zulu Natal requires professional Security Officers who are accustomed to working in a large premises, to secure people, property and assets on the University’s premises.
Job description

Security Officers are required to be highly visible. They deter crime, secure premises, patrol, and monitor security during general campus activities. They monitor the campus for risks, threats, safety and security hazards, traffic and parking problems, suspicious persons, suspicious vehicles and suspicious activities.
Security Officers are responsible for enforcing University rules and regulations, apprehending wrong-doers, reporting incidents and possible threats, and providing initial assistance to people requiring assistance. 

Minimum requirements

  Grade 10 and Grade C PSIRA Registration
  One (1) year’s relevant security experience
An excellent working knowledge of the security profession - theory, practice and special training techniques
