Job description

The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship invites suitably qualified, motivated, and entrepreneurially minded graduates to apply for three Student Entrepreneurship Internship positions within its Student Entrepreneurship Portfolio. The twelve-month internship is designed to provide graduates with meaningful workplace experience while contributing to the development of student entrepreneurship across the University.

The successful interns will support the coordination and administration of programmes and activities aimed at developing student entrepreneurs and student-owned businesses. This includes support for Entrepreneurship Development in Higher Education (EDHE) initiatives, business development and mentorship engagements, workshops, competitions, events, stakeholder engagements, and other entrepreneurship development activities.

Minimum requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree from a recognised higher education institution.
  • South African citizenship or permanent residency.
  • Applicants must currently be unemployed.
  • A demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship, innovation, and student development.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literacy, particularly proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
